Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level technical support across virtualised, cloud, and core infrastructure platforms
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of ICT infrastructure solutions
• Ensure environments meet security, performance, compatibility, and sustainability standards
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver enterprise‑grade services
• Support infrastructure modernisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant industry experience
• Proven experience in identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities, including remediation strategies
• Strong expertise in enterprise data storage, backup, and recovery systems, including server and storage hardware configuration and monitoring
• Demonstrated experience across core infrastructure technologies including virtualisation (VMware/Hyper‑V), Active Directory, security tools, and mobility management
• Extensive experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and Azure, including IaaS, data services, and resource management
• Strong understanding of IT service management principles, aligned with frameworks such as ITIL
• Excellent customer service, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills
• Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
