WordPress Web Developer

Job Description

We’re looking for a WordPress Web Developer who can build and refine a high-quality marketing website with a modern, premium feel. You’ll work closely with us to implement page layouts, polish visuals, optimise performance, and ensure strong SEO fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain WordPress pages using Gutenberg / block editor (and/or Elementor if needed)
• Implement pixel-clean layouts with strong spacing, typography, and responsive behaviour
• Create reusable sections (headers, footers, templates, patterns) across pages
• Improve site performance (Core Web Vitals), image optimisation, caching, minification
• Technical SEO setup (Yoast/RankMath, schema basics, sitemaps, indexing support)
• Troubleshoot theme/plugin conflicts and fix UI bugs quickly
• Optional: custom CSS, child theme tweaks, light PHP adjustments when required

Requirements

• Strong WordPress experience (themes, templates, Gutenberg, site structure)
• Strong HTML/CSS (responsive design, layout systems, clean spacing)
• Comfortable with basic JavaScript (nice to have)
• Practical experience with SEO + performance optimisation
• Excellent attention to detail (design polish matters)
• Ability to work independently and communicate progress clearly

Nice to have

• Experience with WordPress.com + domain/DNS setup
• Figma-to-WordPress build experience
• Accessibility best practices (WCAG basics)
• Copy/UX awareness for consulting or B2B sites
