About the Role

We are looking for a Website Developer who can confidently build, manage and maintain websites across a range of platforms, while also supporting our design team with graphic design tasks when required.

This role goes beyond basic updates, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of websites, from development through to hosting, optimisation and ongoing performance, while occasionally contributing to visual assets across digital and print.

No two days will be the same, and you’ll work closely with both developers and designers to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Building websites from scratch across platforms (primarily WordPress)
• Managing hosting environments, domains, DNS and site migrations
• Creating website layouts and user interfaces based on design briefs
• Performing ongoing updates, edits and maintenance to client websites
• Conducting regular audits to ensure performance, speed and functionality
• Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions
• Integrating websites with third-party tools, databases and backend services
• Maintaining, expanding and scaling client websites over time
• Collaborating with designers to bring creative concepts to life online
• Assisting with graphic design tasks across digital and print when required
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role
• Strong experience building websites from the ground up, not just using templates
• Solid understanding of hosting, domains, DNS and site migrations
• Experience with WordPress and other website platforms
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a strong understanding of web fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving ability and confidence troubleshooting technical issues
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and website performance optimisation
• Experience or capability in graphic design (Adobe Indesign highly regarded)
• Good eye for layout, typography and visual consistency
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team

A proactive, positive attitude is essential, we want a “yes, let’s find a way” kind of person.

Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen, unfortunately we are unable to support working visa applications at this time.

Advantageous but not essential:

• Experience working within an agency environment
• Experience integrating APIs or working with backend systems
• Knowledge of website performance tools and analytics
• Broader understanding of digital marketing
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
