About the Role

This is a project-based volunteer role for a creative web developer who enjoys autonomy and wants to take real ownership of a meaningful digital project.

Rather than following step-by-step instructions, you’ll be encouraged to:

– Immerse yourself in our business plan and existing content
– understand our purpose, programs, and audience
– think creatively about how our story is told online
– shape the look, feel, and flow of the website in a way that feels human, intuitive, and engaging
– The website is already live, this role is about refinement, storytelling, and creative polish, not building from scratch.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Reviewing the existing website structure and content
– Using the business plan as a primary source of truth for messaging and intent
– Reworking layout, navigation, and visual flow to improve clarity and impact
– Applying design thinking to better communicate who we are and how we help
– Bringing your own ideas and creative solutions to the table
– Collaborating with The Flannel Project team for feedback and alignment
– Delivering a refreshed, cohesive website that you’re proud to put your name to
– You’ll have genuine creative freedom within our brand, values, and purpose.
