Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Webmaster to oversee the ongoing health, performance, and security of our company’s website ecosystem. This role goes beyond basic maintenance; you will be the guardian of our digital presence, responsible for optimizing user experience, managing backend functionality, and collaborating closely with marketing, IT, and content teams to ensure seamless integration and up-to-date technology. Your work will directly impact website reliability, search visibility, and data integrity across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all aspects of website functionality, including CMS, server environment, databases, and third-party integrations.
  • Conduct regular audits of site performance, accessibility, and security; identify and resolve issues before they impact users or compliance.
  • Optimize website load times and responsiveness through code refinement, asset management, and server configuration.
  • Implement and maintain SEO best practices aligned with company goals; analyze site traffic data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate with development and design teams to deploy updates, new features, and content efficiently and error-free.
  • Ensure website meets regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ADA) and internal policies related to data protection and user privacy.
  • Maintain backups and recovery processes, troubleshooting any failures with minimal downtime.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and incident reports to support continuity and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies, security threats, and digital trends; recommend and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years managing complex websites with diverse technical stacks, including experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Python, or Node.js).
  • Strong knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx), DNS management, SSL certificates, and CDN configurations.
  • Experience with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and troubleshooting at scale.
  • Solid understanding of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console) and SEO techniques.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards related to web accessibility (WCAG), privacy (GDPR), and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset toward site stability and user experience.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and explaining technical details clearly.
