Job Description

We have a full-time position available for an experienced Web Developer to design, build, and maintain engaging websites that deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end website development – from translating business requirements into technical solutions, to writing clean, scalable code and optimising performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to decisions, and continuously improve our development practices to ensure quality, security, and efficiency across all projects.

The key role responsibilities will see you:

  • Develop, maintain and optimise websites as well as resolving website incidents.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Partner with business owners to create and deliver website strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensure clean, efficient front-end output and optimised performance for sites.
  • Mainatin website usability, WCAG accessibility compliance and web standards alignment.
  • Implement and continuously improve technical SEO.
  • Configure and maintain analytics and tagging.
  • Utilise analytics to inform recommendations for UX, engagement and digital content performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in WordPress development, web engineering or similar web platform management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL foundations or adjacent framework practices with an intuition for website UX and growth.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS and PHP.
  • Understanding of contemporary SEO principles.
  • Experience implementing and managing analytics and tags.
  • Website security and availability best practice knowledge.

The successful applicant will also need to have a cleared and valid Working with Children’s Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencing with The Disability Trust.
