About the Role

We are seeking a Web Developer with a strong foundation in front-end technologies and Python-based backend development to support ongoing enhancements to a core application (TAC Assist App). This short-term engagement is ideal for someone who can quickly get up to speed, work across the stack, and contribute to delivering improvements in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with technical leads and support the development, enhancement, and deployment of web applications within a cloud-based Azure environment.Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Develop and enhance web application features using HTML, CSS, and React (as required).
• Support backend development using Python, including tools such as Streamlit, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and pytest.
• Interpret and extend existing (including AI-assisted generated) code to ensure functionality and maintainability.
• Deploy and manage applications within Microsoft Azure, including:
• Azure App Services
• Azure Container Registry (ACR)
• Azure Blob Storage
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and support data-related tasks (exposure to Databricks is beneficial).
• Collaborate with the team on debugging, enhancements, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to testing and continuous improvement practices.
• Work within a modern development setup using VS Code, WSL, and Docker.

Requirements and Experience

• Solid experience in web development with strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and exposure to React.
• Working knowledge of Python development, including Streamlit, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and pytest.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, ACR, Blob Storage preferred).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, WSL, and development tools like VS Code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly understand existing codebases.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within a short-term engagement.
• Exposure to Databricks or data engineering environments.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.
• Experience working in Agile or collaborative teams.
