Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Web Content Manager who doesn’t just update pages but builds digital experiences. You’ll own the performance and lifecycle of content across our core web properties, turning fragmented copy into cohesive narratives that convert. This isn’t about plugging text into CMS fields—it’s about using behavioral data, SEO intelligence, and UX principles to deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and Ownership: Conduct deep content audits quarterly—analyzing engagement, crawl depth, bounce rates, and outdated assets. Propose kill/keep/consolidate plans with supporting data.
  • UX-Aware Content Strategy: Collaborate with designers and developers to align web content with user journey maps, conversion funnels, and product discovery patterns.
  • Structured Content Management: Manage a component-based CMS (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Adobe AEM) with a focus on reusable content blocks, localization readiness, and schema markup.
  • SEO Performance: Partner with the SEO team to test title tags, reoptimize long-form pages, and rewrite H1 structures for semantic clarity. Track changes via ContentKing or equivalent.
  • Web Governance: Develop and enforce content governance standards, including writing style guides, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.2), and structured workflows across contributors.
  • Collaboration with Product Marketing: Translate product updates into digestible landing pages with strong CTAs, user intent mapping, and cross-linking strategies.
  • Analytics-Driven Iteration: Use GA4, Hotjar, and Looker Studio to identify drop-off points and A/B test content decisions that increase engagement or goal completions.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience managing content for a high-traffic, multi-audience website (B2B SaaS or e-commerce experience preferred).
  • Proficient in at least one headless CMS and capable of handling JSON-based content structures.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional editorial calendars in fast-paced release cycles.
  • Strong familiarity with content automation tools (e.g., Jasper, ChatGPT, SurferSEO) and ethical use of AI in editorial processes.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, metadata standards, and schema.org implementations.
  • Can write and rewrite for clarity, tone, and purpose—editing is not an afterthought.
  • Strong project management skills; Jira or Asana experience a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience launching microsites or campaign landing pages with CRO testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of multilingual content strategy and internationalization workflows.
