Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Web Content Manager who thrives at the intersection of digital storytelling, UX strategy, and CMS governance. This role is responsible for owning and executing the content lifecycle across our corporate web properties, with a strong focus on performance-based optimization, accessibility, and SEO. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with enterprise-level CMS platforms and a track record of managing content ecosystems that align with broader brand and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the content architecture across all company web properties (Sitecore and WordPress), ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and high usability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Design, Compliance, and IT to publish strategic, compliant, and high-performing content.
- Audit, refine, and retire outdated content based on data-driven insights and internal feedback loops; oversee quarterly content reviews and taxonomy updates.
- Develop and enforce editorial standards for the web, including voice/tone, formatting, and metadata best practices.
- Optimize site content for organic search in collaboration with SEO specialists, using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Project manage web content initiatives such as new product launches, site migrations, or content-heavy campaigns.
- Provide CMS training and documentation for distributed content contributors across departments; enforce governance controls to maintain quality.
- Work closely with analytics to report on engagement metrics and user behavior; iterate based on measurable outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in web content management, with direct experience on enterprise-level websites (over 1,000 URLs).
- Proficiency in at least one enterprise CMS (Sitecore, AEM, or similar), plus working knowledge of WordPress and basic HTML/CSS.
- Demonstrated experience leading content governance frameworks in complex organizations (e.g., financial, healthcare, or B2B tech sectors).
- Strong command of SEO principles, including technical SEO fundamentals (indexation, canonicalization, structured data).
- Excellent written and editorial skills with a nuanced understanding of tone, clarity, and information hierarchy.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and experience remediating non-compliant content.
- Competency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and data dashboards (Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and juggle competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Bonus: experience with Agile workflows, Jira, and content personalization systems.
