Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Edit short-form video (15-60s) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, plus longer-form pieces when needed.
2. Cut performance-driven ad creative for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) hooks, UGC-style edits, product demos, and direct-response variations.
3. Assemble look book, lifestyle, and campaign videos from photo/video shoots and AI-generated assets.
4. Add music, sound design, captions/subtitles, motion text, transitions, and light color grading consistent with the brand look.
5. Produce multiple cut-downs, aspect-ratio versions (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9), and A/B hook variations from a single shoot.
6. Keep footage, projects, and exports organized and named to brand conventions, and deliver on deadline.
7. Iterate quickly on feedback and incorporate trends, sounds, and formats that are working right now.

What we’re looking for:
1. Non-linear editing mastery confident, fast cutting in at least one professional NLE (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Pro, or Final Cut Pro)
2. Strong short-form storytelling and pacing hook-first structure and the ability to hold attention in the first 3 seconds
3. Sound design and music sync beat-matching cuts, layering SFX, audio leveling, and using trending audio effectively
4. Clean captions and typography animated subtitles, kinetic/motion text, and on-brand type
5. Color correction and grading matching shots and applying a consistent premium look
6. Active trend literacy across current social formats, transitions, sounds, and ad styles
7. Strong written English to follow briefs and feedback; self-managing and communicative in a remote, async setup
8. Comfort working with AI-generated video and image assets is a strong advantage
9. Availability during EST business hours (approximately 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern), regardless of geographic location
