Job Description

About the Role:
We’re seeking a UX Designer with a strong grasp of system flows and interaction models to lead initiatives in redesigning complex, multi-step user journeys—especially in enterprise or technical platforms. You won’t be polishing buttons or designing onboarding tours. You’ll be diving into usage patterns, interviewing domain experts, and crafting solutions where small missteps cause real user friction.

This role demands a designer who prefers clarity over decoration, who can ask the right questions when stakeholders disagree, and who can simplify systems without dumbing them down.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for a core product vertical, from research to high-fidelity wireframes.
  • Partner with data scientists, PMs, and engineers to identify friction points in tools used by technical users (think: analysts, researchers, developers).
  • Translate business rules and API limitations into intuitive flows and interactions.
  • Conduct user interviews with customers who don’t tolerate fluff—and synthesize actionable insights from raw, often conflicting feedback.
  • Produce flow diagrams, service blueprints, and interaction models—alongside clickable prototypes when needed.
  • Advocate for systems consistency and design tokens in collaboration with our design systems lead.
  • Track the downstream impact of your designs in metrics, not just mockups.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has 3–5 years of experience designing for complex workflows—ideally in enterprise SaaS, data platforms, or internal tooling.
  • Can write rationales for design decisions that stand up to scrutiny from engineers, PMs, and execs alike.
  • Is comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sense of scattered, sometimes incomplete data.
  • Can work within a design system without being limited by it—and knows when to propose refinements.
  • Has experience conducting and analyzing task-based usability testing, not just opinion-based surveys.
  • Is fluent in tools like Figma, Miro, or Axure—but more importantly, knows when to sketch ideas before jumping to pixels.
