About the Role:

The UI Designer is part of Opticomm’s systems integration function and is responsible for designing user interfaces across Opticomm’s OSS/BSS stack.

This role works closely with internal stakeholders to support project delivery, while also contributing to the day-to-day management and optimisation of core telco systems.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Review software requirements and prepare UI designs.
  • Translate requirements into clear, user-friendly interface solutions.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to understand product requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify and refine design needs.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
  • Identify potential design challenges and suggest practical solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Systems Design, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of test techniques and familiarity with various testing platforms.
  • Basic programming skills to support automated test development.
  • Some experience with PHP and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Codeception or a similar testing platform.
  • Experience with Postman or other API testing tools is highly desirable.
