Technology Support Deployment Officer

Job Description

About the Role: As the Technology Support Deployment Officer, you will be the primary driver behind the Asset Refresh Programs. Your core mission is to manage the deployment of replacement equipment, assist end-users through the transition, and optimize hardware workflows. You will serve as a vital link between technical operations teams and end-users, maximizing the value of new technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment Management: Identify hardware tranches for refresh, order/receipt devices, and manage the exchange and disposal of old units according to business procedures.
      
• Technical Configuration: Install and configure refresh hardware, ensuring all system and network issues are resolved post-deployment.
      
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current ICT hardware refresh workflows and develop improved processes to deliver better value to staff.
• Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate register of assets using agreed procedures and produce routine reports to assist in decision-making.
      
• Support & Documentation: Provide technical assistance to project teams and create procedural documentation or knowledge base articles for new hardware.
      
• Service Management: Use ITSM tools for incident tracking, troubleshooting, and escalating unresolved issues to ensure service levels are met.
      

Selection CriteriaEssential:

• Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in technology, computer science, or engineering.
      
• Experience: Proven background in IT Desktop, Operations, and Service Desk environments with strong troubleshooting skills.
      
• Technical Proficiency: Substantial experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Office suite, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
      
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users
      

Desirable:

• Previous experience in an IT service delivery role within a health environment.
     
• Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL service management practices.
      
• Qualifications or experience in recognized project management methodologies.
