Your new role
As the Corridor Management Officer, you will provide technical support and undertake assessments relating to road corridor activities, traffic management and civil infrastructure compliance. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, utility providers and the public, you will help ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and council requirements. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing Temporary Traffic Management Applications and conducting site audits.
- Reviewing applications for works and infrastructure within the road reserve.
- Providing technical advice on permits, legislation, routes and heavy vehicle movements.
- Coordinating with contractors, utility providers and stakeholders to achieve compliant outcomes.
- Investigating customer enquiries and providing written and verbal responses.
- Monitoring compliance with permits, conditions and council policies.
- Supporting major projects impacting council-controlled road corridors.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered, you will demonstrate:
- Experience within civil construction, corridor management, traffic management or a related field.
- Knowledge of traffic management principles and road corridor compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
- The ability to interpret legislation, permits and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems.
- A relevant qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
