Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of strategic technical and business specifications and designs aligned to organisational objectives
  • Advise executives and senior decision-makers on technology uplift and advancement
  • Establish technical and business frameworks, fostering a mature, design-led approach to project and product delivery
  • Collaborate proactively with Program and Project Managers to align priorities, expectations and resourcing
  • Track technical and business market trends to inform advice and guidance
  • Support team and user development through procedures and guides
  • Provide staff mentorship (this role does not involve direct people management)

About You

  • At least 5 years’ demonstrated expert experience in Technical/Solutions/Business Analysis, developing solutions and designs for business systems – particularly Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Windows Server-hosted systems and databases, Unix, and Oracle
  • Expert experience with architectural frameworks
  • Experience analysing and architecting infrastructure models underpinning public safety critical systems
  • Advanced conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to integrate complex issues and make sound judgements
  • Strong adaptability and resilience in a constantly evolving, complex ICT environment
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with executive stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to negotiate priorities and provide clear, evidence-based advice to senior leaders
  • TOGAF v9 (or equivalent architectural framework/methodology) qualification highly desirable
  • Formal certification in Technical Business Analysis/Architecture for Windows (Server, SQL, PowerShell) highly regarded
  • ICT degree or qualification highly desirable; formal ITIL qualifications advantageous
