Job Description
Responsibilities
- Research parts and systems using manufacturer technical documentation, service bulletins, installation guidance, and OE catalogs
- Write optimized product descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and structured product data
- Produce longer-form technical content: diagnostic guides, repair articles, category pages, and vehicle platform guides
- Determine what a customer needs before ordering: quantity required, fitment exclusions, RPO or VIN limits, programming or calibration requirements, and box contents
- Build reusable technical modules by part category, including injectors, wheel bearings, oxygen sensors, brake friction, and control modules
- Identify and document where existing catalog data is incomplete or wrong
Required
- B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of engine codes, chassis and platform designations, option codes, and why they matter for fitment
- Ability to read a service bulletin and workshop procedure and extract what matters
- Clear written English, with technical precision valued over style
- Comfort working to defined formatting standards, character limits, and structured templates
Preferred
- OEM or Tier 1 experience in technical publications: service manuals, workshop procedures, repair documentation, or parts catalogs
- Previous automotive technician or service advisor experience at a dealership
- European vehicle experience, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Porsche
- Structured authoring such as DITA or equivalent
- Engine management, fuel systems, or electrical diagnostics
- OEM and aftermarket catalog data
