Job Description
This is not a junior role, and it’s not a senior architecture position. You’ll be trusted to handle complex troubleshooting, work across multiple customer environments, and support the delivery of technical outcomes, with senior engineers and architects available for escalation and guidance when required.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing Level 2 escalation support across cloud, endpoint, and server environments
- Troubleshooting incidents, problems, and service requests across the Microsoft stack
- Supporting Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and Autopilot
- Managing and supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoints
- Supporting identity and access controls including MFA and Conditional Access
- Responding to endpoint and security‑related incidents such as compromised accounts or lost devices
- Assisting with delivery of cloud, security, infrastructure, and virtualisation projects
- Working closely with senior engineers, solution architects, project managers, and service delivery
- Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to the knowledge base
- Working to SLAs and communicating clearly with customers
About You
You’re a capable, hands‑on Systems Engineer who’s comfortable operating at a strong Level 2 and starting to stretch into more complex environments.
You enjoy troubleshooting, take pride in getting to the root cause of issues, and understand the balance required in an MSP between BAU delivery, customer communication, and project support. You don’t need to design enterprise platforms, but you do need to understand how they work and how to support them well.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have solid experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments
- Are confident working with endpoint platforms such as Intune and Autopilot
- Have supported endpoint security tools like Defender for Endpoint or SentinelOne
- Are comfortable working across multiple customer environmentsEnjoy complex troubleshooting rather than following runbooks blindly
- Can balance escalated BAU work alongside project tasks
- Document clearly and communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
Technical Experience We’re looking For
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Identity and access support, including hybrid environments (Entra ID, on‑prem AD sync, MFA, Conditional Access)
- Endpoint management via Microsoft Intune, including compliance policies, app deployment, and remediation
- Supporting Windows Autopilot device enrolment and troubleshooting policy or compliance issues
- Managing and supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoints
- Endpoint security and EDR support (Defender for Endpoint and/or SentinelOne), including performance and conflict troubleshooting
- Exposure to security baselines such as Essential 8 or Intune baselines
- PowerShell experience using and adapting existing scripts for administration, bulk changes, and reporting
- Windows Server fundamentals (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs), including patching and BitLocker key management
- Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewall rules, connectivity troubleshooting)
