Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate SQL code and database objects from PostgreSQL to Oracle
• Develop, refactor, and optimise:
  • Functions
  • Stored Procedures
  • Views
  • Materialised Views
• Analyse and improve SQL performance and database efficiency
• Ensure high-quality code management and version control practices using tools such as GitHub
• Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to support successful delivery outcomes
• Contribute to coding standards, documentation, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a SQL Developer in enterprise environments
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Hands-on experience with database migration projects
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Stored procedures
  • Functions
  • Views and materialised views
  • Query tuning and optimisation
• Experience with source control and code management tools (GitHub or similar)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment
• Utilities or infrastructure sector experience is highly regarded
