Solution Architect – Infrastructure & Integration

Your new role

This contract Solution Architect role provides end‑to‑end ownership of solution architecture across network, infrastructure, platforms, systems, and integrations, supporting multiple concurrent initiatives with fixed delivery milestones.

You’ll act as design authority, ensuring solutions are secure‑by‑design, resilient, scalable, and compliant, while working closely with delivery partners, vendors, cybersecurity, and internal technology teams.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Defining and governing end‑to‑end solution architectures
• Designing network architectures covering topology, segmentation, security zones, redundancy, capacity, and performance
• Producing clear architecture artefacts including context, logical, physical, network, and security views
• Embedding security‑ and privacy by design aligned to enterprise and regulatory standards
• Assuring vendor designs, Statements of Work, and technical proposals
• Defining integration patterns, data flows, and enterprise system interfaces
• Supporting delivery planning, cutover, commissioning, and operational readiness

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect delivering complex infrastructure, network, and systems integration solutions
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, network architecture, and cloud or platform services
• Experience working in construction or capital works‑led environments with fixed milestones
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and cybersecurity requirements
• Hands‑on experience with PSPF, ISM, and the Essential Eight
• Ability to influence vendors, delivery partners, and senior stakeholders in a multi‑vendor environment
