Job Description:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Software Tester to join our QA team. You will be responsible for designing and executing robust automated tests for our web applications and REST APIs. This role demands strong technical expertise, a test-to-break mindset, and practical experience working alongside developers in a CI/CD environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium (Java), Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Perform REST API testing using Postman and scripting with tools like RestAssured or similar.
  • Create and manage test plans and detailed test cases based on product requirements and technical design.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs using Jira, GitLab, or similar tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups; provide QA estimates and input on risk analysis.
  • Integrate tests into CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI).
  • Conduct regression, performance, and exploratory testing as needed.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to set up test environments using Docker or Kubernetes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver (Java or Python), Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Strong experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Swagger, and test automation frameworks like RestAssured or Karate.
  • Proficient with Git version control and writing testable code in at least one language (Java, JavaScript, or Python preferred).
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes within Agile development.
  • Experience in integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or GitLab CI).
  • Ability to analyze logs, identify issues in distributed environments, and trace defects to root causes.
  • Exposure to database testing using SQL or MongoDB queries.
