Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Software Tester who thrives on uncovering issues that others overlook. This role demands not just testing software for bugs but critically evaluating user flows, edge cases, and performance under varied real-world scenarios. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure our software not only works but delivers a seamless and reliable experience under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and cases that cover functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproducibility steps and collaborate with engineering to resolve them.
  • Analyze requirements and user stories to anticipate potential failure points and suggest improvements before development.
  • Use automation tools to build and maintain test suites, focusing on sustainable and scalable testing frameworks.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to find hidden or complex issues beyond scripted test cases.
  • Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings to advocate for quality and practical testing timelines.
  • Validate software compliance with security, accessibility, and usability standards relevant to the product.
  • Mentor junior testers on best practices and contribute to continuous process improvement in QA methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing with a proven record of identifying critical, hard-to-find bugs in complex applications.
  • Strong proficiency in writing and executing manual and automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Cypress, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, especially how testing fits in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and ability to validate backend logic beyond the UI layer.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and issue tracking tools (Git, Jira) to integrate testing with development workflows.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, capable of thinking like an end-user and anticipating unconventional usage.
  • Solid scripting or programming skills in at least one language (Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar) to build automated tests.
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and collaborative teamwork.
