Software Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Software Tester who thrives on uncovering hidden bugs and pushing software to its limits. This is not just about following test scripts—it’s about thinking like an end user, anticipating edge cases, and ensuring that every release maintains top-notch quality under real-world conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans that cover functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing, tailored to complex features and unpredictable user behaviors.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to understand the underlying logic and business intent behind features, enabling smarter, risk-based testing strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) while balancing automated and manual testing efforts based on feature complexity and release cadence.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps, environmental details, and impact analysis to facilitate swift resolution.
• Continuously analyze product metrics and user feedback to refine testing scope and priorities beyond the obvious scenarios.
• Advocate for quality across the software development lifecycle, influencing design discussions and deployment decisions with a focus on end-user experience and system robustness.
• Participate in post-release reviews to assess testing effectiveness and integrate lessons learned into future cycles.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications in dynamic Agile environments.
• Proven expertise in crafting exploratory and boundary testing scenarios that reveal subtle, high-impact issues.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and the interplay of front-end, back-end, and APIs.
• Proficiency with at least one automation framework and the ability to write maintainable, scalable test scripts.
• Skilled in using bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Ability to decipher complex requirements and create test cases that go beyond surface-level acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate risks and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with performance and security testing tools and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data integrity through database queries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing processes into automated build workflows.
