Project Overview

The assignment supports the development of a greenfield digital platform built on an event-driven microservice architecture delivered by multiple Scrum teams.

Quality assurance focuses primarily on system-level validation of APIs, service interactions, and event chains, rather than UI testing. The platform processes sensitive personal data and operates within a highly regulated, GDPR-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and test REST APIs within a microservices environment
• Analyse service interactions across distributed components
• Track and evaluate event flows in a Kafka-based architecture
• Analyse asynchronous processes and eventual consistency behaviour
• Ensure technical data consistency across multiple services
• Implement cross-domain QA practices across several Scrum teams
• Collaborate closely with developers and architects in an agile Scrum environment
• Ensure testing processes consider data protection and compliance requirements

Required Experience

• Experience working with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems
• Practical experience testing REST APIs
• Understanding of API versioning and payload validation
• Ability to analyse event flows and distributed processes
• Experience in agile development environments (Scrum)
• Awareness of GDPR and handling sensitive personal data
• Native-level German
