About The Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, our Cyber Analytics team is seeking a skilled Software Engineer/Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing applications for both cloud and on-premises environments. In this role, you will provide mission-critical support to a federal customer, bridging the gap between advanced software engineering and cyber security. You will have the unique opportunity to work on everything from high-level cloud architecture to low-level reverse engineering, directly impacting the customer’s data flow operations and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data processing and analysis applications in cloud and on-premises environments
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the customer’s data flow operations to improve mission efficiency
  • Conduct software testing, validation of builds, and provide ongoing maintenance and end-user support
  • Perform research on software components, including reverse engineering investigations and documenting findings
  • Collaborate with a team to analyze secure mobile applications (Android and iOS) to identify security flaws and vulnerabilities
  • Exploit weaknesses in encryption, secure storage, and code execution to improve system defenses
  • Develop custom data analysis and recovery tools tailored to specific operational needs
  • Interact directly with government customers and engineering personnel of varying technical levels to communicate project status and technical results



Required Experience/Clearance

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience providing software development support in a dynamic, proactive, or operational environment
  • Proficiency in at least one primary programming language: C#, C/C++, Java, or Python
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction, operate independently, and contribute effectively to a team environment
