Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a cross-platform graphics hardware abstraction layer for the Frostbite Engine.
- Direct X (XBSX, PC), Advanced Graphics Controller 5 (PS5), Vulkan, Metal and other proprietary APIs
- You will implement and support the compilation and runtime use of HLSL on multiple platforms
- You will investigate and address hardware differences of performance and behaviour
- Develop and maintain tools to ensure high quality experience for render engineers using Frostbite.
- Work closely with game team engineers and the Frostbite rendering team to enable and deliver new rendering features.
- You will collaborate across team and discipline boundaries, providing suggestions and contributions outside the immediate team
- Deliver on low level performance profiling and optimization initiatives on multiple platforms
- You will perform CPU and GPU performance analyses and reports for internal and external teams across the company
Qualifications
- C++ knowledge with professional experience in real-time rendering
- 6->8 years professional experience
- Experience using one or more low-level graphics API (e.g. DX12, AGC, Vulkan, Metal)
- Experience working in rendering on current generation and/or esoteric platforms
- PC (DirectX), PS5, or XBSX
- Switch (NVN), Android (Vulkan), iOS (Metal)
- Experience with Graphics Debugging Tools
- Pix, Renderdoc, Console, XCode
- Knowledgeable of modern CPU/GPU hardware architecture
- Experience with memory management and multi-threading with related debugging and optimization experience
