Software Developer – Junior to Intermediate

Job Description

In this role you will:-

• assist Technical Leads and Developers across all aspects of software design and coding
• write, maintain and test code for your assigned tasks
• keep an eye on the technical performance of foundU’s systems and flag issues early
• perform code reviews and provide feedback
• partner with Product Owners to understand what’s possible
• attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies 
• build your knowledge of the Australian HR, payroll & industrial relations landscape as it shapes everything we build

Essentials to have

• Degree in Computer Science (or a closely related field)
• Coachable mindset and you’re open to feedback, quick to apply it, and comfortable asking questions rather than guessing
• Brings solid foundational software development skills (whether that’s from your degree, personal projects, internships or a couple of years on the job)
• Eally welcome are whether you’re just starting out with strong fundamentals or bring around 2-4 years of hands-on development experience

You’ll get bonus points if you have

• Exposure to any part of our stack — Vue.js, React Native, Laravel/PHP, MySQL, or AWS services like EC2, Aurora, ECS or Lambda
• Familiarity with test tooling like Cypress, Jest or Storybook
• An interest in how AI-assisted development tools fit into a modern engineering workflow
