Job Description
What You Will Do.
- Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable Java applications.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours support roster to help ensure system reliability.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and continuous improvement practices.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to our test-driven development culture.
- Assist with cloud migration efforts as we move from on-premise infrastructure to AWS.
Your Skillset.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar Java development role.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and design patterns knowledge.
- Experience with Webservice API development.
- Practical knowledge of Java and MySQL.
- Comfortable working in Eclipse or other modern IDEs.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and Agile methodologies.
- Passion for test-driven development and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule.
- Degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience migrating on-premise applications to the cloud (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Vaadin, Ionic framework, Angular, or similar UI technologies would be a bonus.
- Proficiency in Jira and Agile project management tools.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry or point-of-sale (POS) systems would be advantageous.
