A Software Developer in Test (SDET) in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Build test automation solutions using Java and industry-standard testing tools
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to improve software quality
• Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements
• Support cloud-based, containerized, and distributed testing environments
• Mentor junior engineers and promote test automation best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development and test automation
• Strong Java development skills with object-oriented design experience
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Maven or Gradle, and Spring Boot
• Experience with API testing tools and standards including REST, SOAP, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with microservices, regulated industries, monitoring tools, security testing, and DevOps practices is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, messaging tools, and performance testing
• Strong database testing skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and SQL validation
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
