Job Description

Overview

We’re looking for a software developer who’s comfortable writing production code and debugging the unintended consequences of a fast-moving data pipeline. If you’re the kind of person who writes their own CLI tools to avoid doing the same thing twice, you’ll fit right in. Our team builds internal platforms to automate workflows across ops, sales, and analytics. Expect to contribute across front-end dashboards, backend services, and internal APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal tools that automate repetitive workflows—think ticket triage, report generation, and cross-system syncing
  • Write backend services in Python (FastAPI) or Go, containerized with Docker, deployed on Kubernetes
  • Build lightweight admin interfaces and dashboards using React (w/ TypeScript) and TailwindCSS
  • Contribute to internal SDKs used to standardize event logging and API integrations
  • Participate in biweekly bug-bash sessions focused on cross-team feedback and fast iteration
  • Write unit tests with pytest and React Testing Library, and contribute to CI pipelines
  • Monitor application health via Prometheus/Grafana, and respond to issues using Sentry and OpenTelemetry
  • Create PRs that are easy to review (clear commits, detailed descriptions) and provide constructive feedback to others

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on software development experience (not including internships)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python or Go in a production setting
  • Experience writing well-documented RESTful APIs, ideally with OpenAPI specs
  • Comfortable working with PostgreSQL, including writing custom queries, analyzing query plans, and managing migrations
  • Prior experience with Kubernetes deployments (even in a non-DevOps role)
  • Clear understanding of async job queues and workers (e.g., Celery, Bull, or custom solutions)
  • Experience contributing to shared internal tools or libraries
  • Strong grasp of software versioning, semantic releases, and changelogs
