Job Description

Key selection criteria

Essential: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or equivalent experience
  2. Demonstrated experience managing social media channels for an organisation or brand
  3. Proven ability to create content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok (or other short-form video platforms)
  4. Experience producing and editing photo and/or video content for social media
  5. Strong written communication skills and the ability to write engaging, platform-appropriate copy
  6. Understanding of social media analytics and the ability to use data to inform content decisions
  7. Understanding of brand voice with the ability to adapt content across different brands and audiences.

 Desirable: 

  1. Experience in a student, university, not-for-profit or membership-based organisation
  2. Experience managing social media for multiple brands or accounts simultaneously
  3. Experience using social media scheduling and management tools
  4. Experience with paid social media advertising, including campaign setup and performance monitoring
  5. Experience launching a new social media channel from scratch
  6. Experience managing or coordinating a volunteer, ambassador or community creator program.
