About The Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Web Developer with deep expertise in Laravel, PHP, WordPress, and database management. You will focus on backend development, building and maintaining scalable web applications, RESTful APIs, and custom WordPress solutions, including Gutenberg block development. This role will require a strong understanding of database queries, optimization, and migrations to ensure efficient data handling.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Laravel frameworks and PHP.
• Develop custom WordPress solutions, focusing on backend processes and Gutenberg block development to extend WordPress functionality.
• Create and integrate APIs for data exchange between internal systems and third-party services.
• Optimize database queries and manage migrations for efficient data handling (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend components in a scalable infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues, ensuring smooth integration with front-end components.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain high standards of code quality by conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  

What would make you a great fit?

• 8+ years of experience in backend development using Laravel and PHP.
• Strong experience in WordPress backend development, including custom plugin development and Gutenberg block creation.
• Experience with ReactJS (for Gutenberg blocks development).
• Expertise in RESTful API design, development, and integration.
• Strong knowledge of database management, including query optimization, schema design, and migrations (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git (GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Solid understanding of backend best practices, including security, performance, and scalability.
• Experience with server environments, including deployment and maintenance.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with front-end teams.
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in the iGaming industry, particularly sports betting
