Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Partner with product, design, and QA to ship high-quality features that solve real user problems
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
• Contribute to and uphold engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Lead by example in identifying and resolving technical debt, improving performance, and increasing system reliability
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
• Own features from discovery through to delivery and ongoing support
• Champion engineering excellence by advocating for best practices, including code quality, testing, observability, and documentation across broader x15 engineering community

We are interested to hear from people who have experience in 

• 5+ years of programming and software development experience. Experience and comfort in Typescript and Node. 
• Proven experience building modern front-end experiences using modern web technologies such as Next/Remix, React etc.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and use of ORMs (e.g., Prisma or TypeORM)
• Solid experience writing automated tests and working with testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
• Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, or similar for CI/CD
• Experience in designing UX + UI is preferred
• A good knowledge of web security and its application experience implementing practices in web applications. 
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership beyond functional requirements—ensuring system stability, resilience, and tech quality
