Kforce has a client in Topeka, KS that is seeking a Senior QA Tester with manual testing expertise for finance and accounting applications within the agricultural manufacturing industry. This is a hybrid contract opportunity and requires 3 days a week on-site ideally in the client’s Topeka, KS location. Duties:

• Participates in quality assurance activities for business and agriculture insurance technology applications
• Designs and executes test strategies, test cases, and automated testing solutions
• Identifies and manages defects to ensure software meets functional, performance, and business requirements
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and maintain high standards of quality throughout the SDLC
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and quality assurance strategies
• Perform manual testing across web, enterprise, and API-based applications
• Testing covers custom-developed components focused on finance and accounting applications (GL)
• Candidate should understand system integration across custom systems, SAP, and data warehouse/reporting.
• Identify, document, and track defects while working closely with development teams to resolve issues
• Support software releases through risk assessments, impact analysis, and quality validation
• Analyze testing results and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders
• Help improve testing processes, automation efforts, and overall product quality

Requirements

• Software testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar
• 5+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience
• Strong accounting/financial application testing experience, ideally within agriculture manufacturing (farm equipment).
• Strong SQL skills, writing queries, validation, back-end manual testing, JIRA is used for reporting/tracking
• Experience testing web, API, and enterprise applications
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with SQL, databases, and data validation
• Exposure to integration, backend, and compatibility testing
• Experience mentoring junior QA team members
