Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Microservices Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Alibaba Cloud services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, DevOps practices,and relational and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java-based applications.
  • Develop scalable and secure microservices using Java 8/11/17 and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Build RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
  • Implement persistence layers using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Apply appropriate design patterns and best practices to create maintainable and reusable code.
  • Develop multithreaded and concurrent applications with a strong understanding of Java collections and exception handling.
  • Analyze and improve application performance through JVM tuning, profiling, and optimization.
  • Design and implement microservices components such as:
  • Service discovery
  • API gateways
  • Circuit breakers
  • Distributed transactions
  • Fault tolerance and resiliency mechanisms
  • Integrate messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Develop secure applications using Spring Security, authentication, authorization, and access-control mechanisms.
  • Deploy and manage applications on Alibaba Cloud, including ECS, ACK, OSS, RDS, SLB, VPC, and related services.
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Use Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management.
  • Perform code reviews and maintain code quality using tools such as SonarQube.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and continuous process improvement.

Required Technical Skills

Core Java

  • Strong knowledge of Java 8, Java 11, or Java 17.
  • Java Collections Framework.

  • JVM performance tuning and memory management.
  • Object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.
  • Common design patterns and clean-code practices.

  • RESTful web services and API development.
  • Microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Circuit breaker and resilience patterns.
  • Distributed transactions and eventual consistency.
  • Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
  • Inter-service communication and API versioning.
  • Logging, monitoring, tracing, and exception management.
