Senior Integration Developer

Your new role

As a Senior Integration Developer (Clinical Messaging), you will design, develop and support integration solutions that enable the exchange of patient information between health services and the state-wide HIE platform.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing HL7 v2 and CDA-based interfaces across EMR, PAS, laboratory and clinical systems
• Building data mappings, transformation rules and message routing aligned to clinical and coding standards
• Conducting end-to-end integration testing, including unit, SIT, regression and UAT support
• Troubleshooting complex integration issues to minimise clinical impact
• Producing interface documentation, message flow diagrams and technical artefacts
• Collaborating with health service technical teams, clinicians and internal stakeholders
• Supporting the onboarding of health services to the HIE platform
• Applying standards including SNOMED CT, LOINC and ICD-10-AM
• Contributing to continuous improvement and operational support activities

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:

• Hands-on experience with HL7 v2 and/or CDA clinical messaging in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency in an integration engine such as Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, HealthShare, or similar
• Strong data mapping and transformation capability
• Experience integrating with EMR, PAS or clinical information systems
• Previous exposure to Victorian or other Australian state/territory health environments
• Ability to operate within structured standards and health data governance frameworks
• Experience with HL7 FHIR R4 and RESTful APIs
