Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities:  

·       Building and maintaining secure, scalable, testable and accessible features using Quasar (Vue 3) and Laravel 12.

·       Writing and maintaining unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests.

·       Refactoring code to reduce duplication, complexity, and future pain.

·       Participating in code review and setting quality standards.

·       Using AI tools to accelerate development while fully owning the output.

·       Providing ideas to help shape the future of the platform and the company.

Skills and Experience

Front-End

  • Strong experience with modern Vue (Composition API + TypeScript).
  • Experience with Quasar or similar opinionated frameworks is preferred.
  • Solid grasp of:
    • composition patterns and composables;
    • reactive state and stores (Pinia);
    • component boundaries and responsibility.
  • Experience structuring medium to large front-end codebases.
  • Ability to refactor confidently to reduce duplication and complexity.
  • Comfortable adhering to existing design patterns and coding styles.

Data & APIs

  • Comfortable consuming APIs and managing async data flows.
  • Experience querying GraphQL is useful, but not required.
  • Experience using REST APIs is useful, but not required.
  • Can reason about API contracts rather than treating them as opaque endpoints.

UX, Accessibility & Polish

  • Sensible approach to accessibility (keyboard navigation, focus management, semantics).
  • Understands UX trade-offs in real products (not just theoretical best practice).
  • Comfortable working from designs and collaborating on UX decisions.
  • Experience with E2E testing (Playwright) is preferred.
  • Understands what E2E tests are good for, and where they are not.

Back-End

  • Strong experience with PHP is required.
  • Experience with Laravel or Symfony is preferred.
  • Understands how front-end decisions affect back-end complexity and performance.
  • Comfortable debugging errors across API boundaries.
  • Comfortable implementing new features from requirements in an agile context.

Testing & Quality

  • Experience with unit testing and supporting front-end E2E testing frameworks.
  • Comfortable working in a codebase where test coverage is evolving.
  • Values correctness and maintainability over brittle or performative tests.
  • Familiarity with code quality analysis such as PHPStan etc.
