The team & how they connect
The XUI team builds and maintains the core UI components and guidelines that create a consistent user experience for millions of users worldwide. They collaborate closely with product teams, as well as Design and Accessibility teams, to ensure they deliver intuitive, beautiful, and high-quality software. This is a cross-functional and collaborative environment where you will drive the success of engineering initiatives and contribute to the team’s strategy and roadmap.

The team is currently working on

  • Leading the delivery of a large, consistent, and scalable Design System.
  • Building, maintaining, and improving Xero’s Design System, including reusable UI components.
  • Contributing to pipelines and testing to foster a high-quality mindset across components.
  • Working with technologies including HTML, CSS (preprocessors or CSS-in-JS), JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
