Senior Devops Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments.
• Develop automation scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement automated testing and validation for infrastructure changes within CI/CD workflows.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement proactive improvements.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
• Manage containerized applications and orchestration platforms where applicable.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration management, and operational standards.
• Implement security best practices across cloud environments and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in infrastructure planning, capacity management, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps best practices and process improvements.

Key Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system administration.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including load balancing, VPNs, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Cloud certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
