Senior Developer – Financial Markets

Job Description

The role:
You will own technology projects end to end, from understanding business requirements and designing solutions through to delivery, testing, production release and ongoing operational accountability.

Projects may include:

• Building and optimising electronic trading solutions and client-facing trading workflows
• Low-latency workflows for pricing, quoting and execution
• Market data ingestion, capture and distribution
• Integration of pricing and risk models
• Algo infrastructure, methodologies and controls
• Data capture and storage for trade reconstruction, compliance and regulatory purposes
• Improving automation, testing, reliability and operational resilience

What you’ll bring
You will be a strong software engineer with experience building scalable, production-grade systems in a markets or trading environment.

Experience:

• Strong Java, C++ or Rust development experience
• Front-office trading, electronic trading or markets technology background
• Pricing, quoting, execution, RFQ, order management, market data or risk systems experience
• Strong system design and production engineering capability
• Experience working in Linux environments
• FIX, Python or scripting experience would be highly regarded
• Automated testing, CI/CD and a strong focus on clean, robust code
• Interest or experience using AI tools to accelerate software development
