Senior Data Engineer (IT)

Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer in the DTS Products & Digital Capability team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

• Developing and maintaining scalable, resilient ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud technologies
• Designing and implementing secure, high-performing data platforms and APIs
• Leading end-to-end delivery of enterprise data solutions from design through deployment
• Improving data quality, monitoring, automation and platform reliability across the data landscape
• Mentoring engineers while promoting engineering standards and continuous improvement
• Driving optimisation of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD practices and data platform performance

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL and distributed data processing frameworks
• Experience with cloud data platforms, DataOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
• The ability to collaborate with architects, product managers and technical stakeholders to solve complex problems
• A passion for mentoring others and driving engineering best practice
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline, with relevant cloud certifications highly regarded.
• A collaborative team player who is supportive, engaged, and contributes positively to the team.
• A curiosity to expand data solutions for Enterprise AI solutions
