Your new role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing data team delivering a strategically important data and reporting initiative. Working within a cloud-first environment, you will design and build scalable data solutions that support operational monitoring, analytics and future data product development.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to develop data pipelines, implement modern data architectures, and deliver robust reporting capabilities that enable better decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining enterprise data pipelines using Azure technologies.
• Building and optimising data models aligned to Medallion Architecture principles.
• Integrating data from multiple source systems into modern cloud-based database environments.
• Developing data solutions that support operational reporting and service level monitoring.
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable data products.
• Supporting data platform best practices, governance and engineering standards.
• Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the organisation’s data and analytics capability.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and broader Azure data services.
• Commercial experience working with Snowflake.
• Advanced data engineering and ETL development expertise.
• Strong understanding of modern data modelling methodologies, including Medallion Architecture.
• Experience building and managing data lake solutions and integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Experience supporting dashboard development and operational reporting solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
• Resilience, adaptability and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
