Senior Cloud Solution Engineer

Your new role

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will contribute to the design, build and continuous improvement of secure, scalable cloud environments across Azure and AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver modern, automated and compliant cloud solutions in a complex multi-cloud environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing cloud solutions across Azure and AWS platforms
• Building and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, including Bicep, ARM templates and Azure PowerShell, or equivalent AWS tooling
• Collaborating with DevOps, Security and Development teams to enable and enhance CI/CD pipelines
• Translating business requirements into scalable, secure cloud architecture
• Optimising cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency and compliance
• Supporting and maintaining enterprise cloud platform services for internal users
• Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation including architecture and operational processes
• Monitoring industry trends and emerging cloud capabilities to drive continuous improvement

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Cloud Solution Engineer role within Azure, AWS or multi-cloud environments
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, ideally exposure to both Azure and AWS
• Demonstrated experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, Azure PowerShell or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience working with DevOps practices and tools including Azure DevOps and Git
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VNet or VPC, subnets, firewalls and load balancing
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex environments
• Ability to work collaboratively in a highly integrated team environment

Desirable:

• Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Solutions Architect
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, ISM, PSPF or Essential Eight
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Splunk
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline
