Job Description

Key responsibilities

Brand strategy and positioning

  • Support development of brand strategy across multiple consumer brands
  • Conduct market, competitor, and category analysis across grocery and specialty retail
  • Identify audience gaps, positioning opportunities, and product-market fit
  • Develop brand frameworks, messaging, and visual direction
  • Align brand strategy with pricing, margin, and channel strategy

Packaging and design execution

  • Lead packaging design development across FMCG and specialty products
  • Refine and build scalable packaging systems and brand assets
  • Deliver artwork and design files ready for production and print
  • Ensure strong shelf presence and retail readiness across channels
  • Support rapid iteration for new product launches and trials

Commercial and marketing analysis

  • Analyse grocery category data, competitor positioning, and retail trends
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and growth levers across markets
  • Support go-to-market planning and campaign alignment
  • Work with sales and operations to ensure the brand supports commercial outcomes
  • Provide insights to guide product, range, and pricing decisions

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with founders, product, and commercial teams
  • Support brand rollouts across shows, retail, and digital channels
  • Assist with campaign concepts, activation assets, and launch materials
  • Maintain strong brand consistency across all touchpoints
  • Contribute to a fast-moving, high-performance creative environment

Skills and experience

  • Strong experience in CPG, FMCG, or consumer brand environments
  • Proven capability across both brand strategy and hands-on design
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator
  • Experience developing packaging for retail and grocery channels
  • Strong understanding of AU and NZ consumer markets
  • Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into action
  • Highly organised, fast, and comfortable working across multiple brands
  • Able to work in-house with leadership in a high-growth environment
