Job Description

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-obsessed Quality Analyst who thrives in fast-paced environments where broken experiences are unacceptable. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer support—catching edge cases, validating design intent, and ensuring our platform’s user experience is consistently reliable across browsers, devices, and network conditions. This role isn’t about checking boxes; it’s about preventing issues that impact real users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own test coverage for customer-facing web flows (sign-up, onboarding, dashboards, settings) across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and mobile browsers.
  • Design and execute test plans that account for real-world user behavior—slow connections, partial inputs, interrupted sessions, and browser caching.
  • Collaborate with designers and PMs early to understand UX intent and preemptively call out functional ambiguities.
  • Use developer tools (DevTools, Postman, Charles Proxy) to inspect API responses, simulate throttling, test edge conditions, and verify event firing.
  • Log bugs with context—attach HAR files, DOM snapshots, and reproduction steps to minimize back-and-forth with engineers.
  • Participate in release readiness—sign off on sprint deliverables, verify hotfixes, and regression test features in staging.
  • Push for process improvement—whether it’s rethinking when QA steps in or suggesting a better way to track flaky tests.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years in QA roles for modern web applications (React, Angular, or similar frameworks).
  • Strong working knowledge of browser behavior, client-server interactions, and common frontend pitfalls.
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining test cases in tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Experience using automation frameworks (Cypress preferred; Playwright or Selenium acceptable).
  • Hands-on with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and knowledge of JSON, HTTP status codes, and auth flows.
  • Excellent communication: You should be able to advocate for the user and explain failures clearly to both devs and PMs.

Bonus Points

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and how QA fits into automated deployment.
  • Experience testing internationalization (i18n) and accessibility (a11y) features.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting (Python or JavaScript) to write light automation or data manipulation scripts.
  • A track record of identifying silent bugs or design inconsistencies that analytics alone wouldn’t catch.
