Python, SQL & Network Engineer

Job Description

Python, SQL & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a key transformation engagement.
Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network services.
• Develop Python scripts for network automation, system integrations, and operational efficiency.
• Write optimised SQL queries, stored procedures, and support database performance tuning.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity to proactively identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
• Leverage REST APIs, JSON, and XML for seamless data integration across systems.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong background in Network Engineering and Infrastructure Administration.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco and Firewall products (e.g., CSM, FMC).
• Demonstrated expertise in Python development for scripting and automation.
• Proficient in SQL database design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data integration technologies.
• Hands-on experience with version control and source code management tools.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver within fast-paced environments.
