Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Prompt Engineer to join our AI development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and refining prompts that optimize the performance and accuracy of advanced language models. Your work will directly influence how effectively our AI understands and responds to user inputs, driving the quality of outputs in diverse applications such as chatbots, content generation, and data analysis. This position demands a deep understanding of language model behavior, creativity in prompt construction, and strong analytical skills to iterate rapidly on prompt design based on empirical results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and craft precise prompts tailored to elicit specific responses from various language models.
  • Analyze model outputs to identify patterns of failure or bias, and adapt prompts accordingly to improve reliability and relevance.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers and product teams to integrate prompt engineering strategies into larger system designs.
  • Create and maintain documentation of prompt experiments, methodologies, and outcomes for knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
  • Stay current with the latest research in natural language processing (NLP) and prompt engineering techniques, applying relevant findings to improve prompt efficacy.
  • Conduct A/B testing and performance benchmarking to validate prompt effectiveness across different scenarios and user inputs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on language technologies.
  • Proven experience working hands-on with language models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5) in a research, engineering, or applied setting.
  • Demonstrable expertise in crafting prompts that manipulate model behavior effectively, supported by concrete examples or project work.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating language model outputs quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language for scripting prompt interactions and automating tests.
  • Familiarity with ethical AI use, including identifying and mitigating biases in model responses.
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate technical prompt engineering concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-driven with a passion for experimentation, rapid prototyping, and iterative improvement in AI systems.
