Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-obsessed Production Artist who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and has a sharp eye for design fidelity, prepress accuracy, and digital consistency. This role requires a command of versioning, templating, packaging, and mechanical preparation across multiple platforms—print, web, and large-format environmental graphics. You will act as the final checkpoint before assets go live, ensuring pixel-perfect execution from creative concept to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate design files into production-ready mechanicals across mediums: digital ads, packaging, in-store signage, large-format graphics, and social assets.
  • Ensure consistency across layouts and brand adherence for multiple product lines and campaign variations.
  • Troubleshoot layout and technical issues related to prepress and digital production—including overprint, trapping, bleeds, color profiles, and dielines.
  • Manage high volumes of versioning work across multiple SKUs, languages, and regional specs with speed and precision.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and Project Managers to ensure assets are delivered on time and error-free.
  • Maintain a well-organized file structure, implement naming conventions, and prepare assets for final hand-off (both digital and print).
  • Prepare press-ready files, liaise with print vendors when necessary, and review proofs to catch any production flaws.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a production-heavy design role within an agency, in-house studio, or print-focused environment.
  • Deep proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); working knowledge of After Effects or Figma is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical preparation for packaging, environmental, and print media, including die-cuts, varnishes, and spot colors.
  • Strong understanding of color management, resolution requirements, and file formats across print and digital deliverables.
  • Familiarity with retail or CPG workflows, including adapting global creative to regional specifications.
  • Comfortable working from layered design files with minimal supervision and rapidly iterating based on feedback.
  • Meticulous attention to alignment, typography, spacing, and pixel-perfect details—without relying on automated tools.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical specs and brand guidelines across asset types and formats.
  • Experience working in high-volume environments with shifting priorities and hard deadlines.
