Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-obsessed Production Artist to join our growing in-house creative team. You’ll be the last line of defense before assets go live—ensuring every file is pixel-perfect, production-ready, and consistent across formats. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to “just design”; it’s for a production expert who thrives on structure, clarity, and executing creative vision with surgical precision. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and external vendors to translate concepts into deliverables for print, digital, packaging, and retail.
This role sits at the intersection of creative and execution. We need someone who understands file hygiene, color management, die lines, spec sheets, and platform constraints—and who can navigate them all without losing sight of brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize design files for production across print, digital, and environmental mediums.
- Review, adapt, and extend existing creative for new placements or markets without diluting visual impact.
- Preflight and package files for printers, developers, and fabricators, ensuring alignment with specs and standards.
- Translate layered design files into locked templates for consistent reuse.
- Manage asset versioning, file naming, and archiving protocols in accordance with department systems.
- Ensure all output meets accessibility, resolution, and format requirements for its intended use.
- Perform quality assurance on visual elements, including proofing typography, color consistency, image resolution, bleeds, and trim lines.
- Collaborate with creative directors and external vendors to troubleshoot production challenges in real time.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of production art experience in a fast-paced creative environment, ideally within consumer goods, lifestyle, or retail brands.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop); working knowledge of Figma and After Effects is a plus.
- Deep understanding of prepress, CMYK vs. RGB workflows, print finishes, dielines, and file formats.
- Comfortable working within brand guidelines while upholding high visual standards across platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with print production processes (offset, digital, large format) and ability to speak fluently with printers and production partners.
- Comfortable adapting assets for digital platforms (social, email, web) with a sharp eye for responsive design nuances.
- Detail-oriented to a fault—if a pixel is off, you’ll find it.
