Job Description

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Production Artist who thrives at the intersection of design precision and production efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who loves working within established brand systems but also enjoys solving layout challenges with a creative and technical mindset. As our Production Artist, you’ll be responsible for finalizing digital and print-ready assets across campaigns, marketing materials, packaging, and environmental graphics. You’ll work closely with designers, copywriters, and project managers to ensure every pixel, point, and pica aligns with brand standards—while still keeping pace with tight turnarounds.

This is not a conceptual design role. We’re seeking a systems thinker who finds satisfaction in the craft: versioning files for localization, checking dielines twice, and making sure a banner works at every size and platform spec without compromise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate design files into clean, accurate production-ready assets for print, digital, and large-scale display.
  • Prepare mechanicals for packaging, signage, marketing collateral, and digital outputs, ensuring all assets meet printer/vendor specifications.
  • Work closely with prepress and print vendors to troubleshoot technical file issues, including overprint, trapping, and color separations.
  • Manage high volumes of file versioning with exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
  • Implement last-minute copy edits or graphic changes quickly and without error.
  • Organize and maintain structured file naming and layer management for long-term team use.
  • Review and enforce brand guidelines across production deliverables to prevent visual drift.
  • Flag inconsistencies or opportunities for greater efficiency to the design and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in a dedicated production artist or similar role (agency or in-house), not as a designer with production as a side task.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and strong understanding of file setup for offset, digital, and large-format print.
  • Proven experience preparing dielines, bleeds, print color management, and mechanicals for a variety of formats.
  • Strong organizational skills, including experience with file libraries, shared asset management, and version control.
  • Ability to follow complex brand systems across multiple touchpoints without deviation.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Wrike, or Jira is a plus.
  • Experience with motion graphics, Figma, or web production tools (e.g., HTML/CSS handoff) is a bonus but not required.
