Job Description

We’re seeking a Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of interface design, systems thinking, and user psychology. You’ll be joining a lean, multi-disciplinary product team responsible for turning complex workflows and dense datasets into intuitive, elegant experiences. This is not a role for pixel-polishers — we need someone who can wrestle with ambiguity, bring clarity to product vision, and think across use cases, edge cases, and long-term scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design for high-impact features from discovery to delivery in a domain-heavy product environment
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers to shape product direction through user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Conduct lightweight user research (or collaborate with researchers) to validate hypotheses early
  • Design interactions that balance system constraints with user goals, especially in data-intensive workflows
  • Advocate for the user across internal discussions, even when that means challenging scope or roadmap decisions
  • Evolve and contribute to a componentized design system without over-engineering solutions
  • Present and defend your work with logic, humility, and data when appropriate

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of experience designing for digital products, preferably in SaaS or platform-level tools
  • Demonstrated strength in interaction design — not just UI polish, but structuring flows and states for real-world usage
  • Experience working with complex systems (e.g., enterprise tools, internal platforms, admin dashboards, data products)
  • Proficiency in Figma, but more importantly, an ability to articulate the why behind your design decisions
  • Strong communication skills — verbal, visual, and written — especially when aligning cross-functional teams
  • Experience giving and receiving thoughtful critique in collaborative design reviews
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure and clarity without over-relying on top-down direction

Nice to Have

  • Background in HCI, cognitive psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with or contributing to a design system
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (you don’t need to code, but understanding how things are built is essential)
  • Prior experience designing for power users or configurable tools
